Master Planner & Buyer Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain GMP-compliant master production schedules within an Oracle ERP/MRP environment, aligning customer demand, sales forecasts, and validated manufacturing lead times
  • Perform detailed capacity and line analysis using production specifications, headcount, and equipment availability to ensure feasible plans that meet regulatory, quality, and service requirements
  • Monitor daily manufacturing performance against approved schedules, analyze variances, and drive corrective actions to maintain schedule adherence in a regulated pharmaceutical environment
  • Review and adjust production plans in response to supply and demand changes, raw material availability, quality holds, equipment constraints, and staffing considerations
  • Expedite, modify, and re-sequence production schedules to address unforeseen conditions while maintaining compliance with GMP, change control, and documentation requirements
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Operations, Quality, Supply Chain, and upstream planning teams to prioritize production, manage backorders, and resolve material or capacity constraints
  • Prepare and present capacity, performance, and ad hoc reports from Oracle ERP/MRP systems to support decision-making, continuous improvement initiatives, and waste reduction efforts

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in an industry-related field (e.g., Supply Chain, Operations, Engineering, Business)
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a manufacturing supply chain role
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex production, capacity, and supply chain data to support effective planning decisions
  • Experience working with ERP/MRP systems required; Oracle ERP/MRP experience strongly preferred
  • Knowledge of purchasing and buying processes within a manufacturing environment; injection molding or regulated manufacturing experience highly desirable
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and working knowledge of MS Office tools, with strong written and verbal communication skills to collaborate across all organizational levels
  • Must be willing to be on-site, full-time, in Southington, CT

The actual salary is dependent upon a variety of job-related factors such as professional background, training, work experience, location, business needs, market demand, and competitive market practice.
