- Responsible for providing proficient and thorough investigations to identify the causes and impact of teammate injuries/illnesses and near miss events.
- Utilizes investigation data to determine if current policy or procedures require changes.
- Works in conjunction w/ department leaders to complete investigations of safety events, analysis of potential hazards and development of methods to mitigate future losses.
- Develops and presents comprehensive reports on the facts and analysis used to develop recommendations and action items addressing safety events.
- Communicates and presents regularly to site executive teams around the occurrence of serious safety events, and status of corrective actions.
- Guides on-site investigations of accident scenes
- Collects and analyze physical evidence and data as needed
