Creve Coeur Animal Hospital is looking for a compassionate, motivated veterinary professional to join our busy, six-doctor, AAHA-accredited hospital in West County St. Louis. This opportunity is open to Licensed Veterinary Technicians and experienced Veterinary Assistants with at least two years of hands-on clinical experience.

What Our Veterinary Technicians & Assistants Do

  • Assist veterinarians during examinations, treatments, and procedures
  • Place IV catheters and collect blood and laboratory samples
  • Prepare and administer medications, vaccines, and treatments as directed
  • Perform in-house laboratory testing and assist with diagnostic radiographs
  • Prepare patients, equipment, and surgical areas for procedures
  • Monitor anesthesia and accurately document patient vital signs
  • Provide attentive nursing care throughout treatment and recovery
  • Safely handle and restrain dogs, cats, rabbits, pocket pets, and reptiles
  • Maintain complete and accurate patient records
  • Educate clients about medications, treatments, preventive care, and follow-up instructions
  • Work closely with doctors and support staff to deliver exceptional medical care
  • Help maintain clean, organized, and well-stocked treatment and surgical areas

What Our Veterinary Technicians & Assistants Bring

  • At least two years of hands-on veterinary technician or veterinary assistant experience
  • Current veterinary technician license or progress toward licensure preferred
  • Confidence with IV catheter placement, venipuncture, laboratory testing, and radiology
  • Experience with anesthesia monitoring and surgical assistance
  • Safe, compassionate, and effective patient-handling skills
  • Strong communication and client-education abilities
  • Ability to take initiative and work independently when needed
  • Excellent organization, time management, and attention to detail
  • Ability to thrive in a busy, fast-paced hospital environment
  • Dependable attendance and punctuality
