What You Will Do:
- Design and develop products for our Avionics business. Specifically for the Displays, Controls, Computing, and Networking department. Mechanical engineers support every facet of the products lifecycle from inception to certification, production, obsolescence and beyond. Prototyping, initial builds, thermal and structural/dynamic analysis, and qualification testing.
- Mechanical Design Engineers are expected to interface with many functions outside of engineering to support production and development. Production issues must be resolved in a timely manner, but most importantly without compromising quality and safety, product integrity.
Qualifications You Must Have:
- Bachelor of Science degree in mechanical engineering or adjacent discipline (e.g. aerospace, manufacturing).
- Experience through internship with production support and design tools.
- Experience with thermodynamics as it relates to electronics cooling.
- Experience with material strengths and properties used in avionics electronics.
- Experience with CAD tools such as NX and Solidworks.
Qualifications We Prefer:
- Prior RTX internship, co-op, or work experience.
- Experience with fusion deposition manufacturing as it relates to 3D printing and prototype construction

The salary range for this role is 57,200 USD - 108,800 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
