The Director, Medical Communications & Scientific Exchange (MCSE) role will provide strategic leadership, direction and oversight for neuroscience MSL communications, medical communications, and Scientific/Congress communications strategies across the ITCI portfolio.
This position is responsible for developing and executing strategies for providing quality and compliant data dissemination, medical information services, medical education and medical review of externally facing resources. This position also includes responsibilities in recruiting, hiring, training and providing stretch opportunities for the organization. Creates a work environment that promotes continuous learning, open exchange and sharing, and fostering a team environment amongst associates.
This is a home office (Titusville, NJ) based position with up to 20% travel.
This role will report to the VP, US Medical Affairs ITCI.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead the development of high-quality medical content to ensure clear, scientific communication of TA approved medicines, pipeline products and technologies.
Drive the medical communications, publication and Med Info activities across the TA portfolio.
Lead the medical communications team and play an integral role in strategy development, planning, and execution of high-quality scientific publications.
In partnership with the MSL leadership, develop quality content for MSL use in the field.
Lead the medical communications team that provides medical guidance for development and review of externally facing customer materials promotional and medical, or sales training materials.
Oversee and provide strategic guidance to Conference planning and execution.
Oversee all development and provision of medical information to health care providers and consumers, ensuring quality and fair balanced information and compliance with all legal, regulatory, and health care compliance guidelines affecting the practice of medical information delivery. Work closely with colleagues in medical affairs and businesses to ensure dissemination of scientific evidence in an appropriate manner.
Combines the knowledge of science, the pharmaceutical industry, and government regulations to identify opportunities for the Medical Communications group to identify potential opportunities or issues.
Ensures that cutting edge information technology is evaluated and employed when appropriate to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the MCSE group.
