Parts Advisor

Duties include but are not limited to:

• Looking up parts for wholesale or technicians
• Filling orders
• Answering telephones
• Staying current with special order parts
• Determine needs and accurately specify parts accordingly
• Create and modify purchase orders
• Issue purchase orders to appropriate vendor to order parts
• Record warranty parts returned
• Create special ordered parts on dealership computer system; notify Service Advisor, Technicians or Client upon receipt
• Review of special order parts tracking
• Process and close open invoices
• Compare invoices against requisitions to verify quality and quantity of merchandise received
• Keep records of outside purchases and parts received and issued
• Perform ongoing wholesale parts inventory
• Attend weekly department meetings

Work Experience requirements:

• Dealership Parts experience is required
• Two years + Buick GMC dealership Parts Advisor experience is a plus
• Efficient with ordering parts and maintaining inventory
• Excellent people skills with internal staff and customers
• OEC knowledge / MPI or equivalent experience
• Spanish/Bilingual is a plus (not required)
