Job Summary

The Wafer Pack person is responsible for carrying out routine tasks at a customer site, including receiving, production packaging in a clean room environment, pickup, and shipping. Must be cognizant of and adhere to Standard Operating Procedures and regulatory requirements.

In this role, you will report to the Client Success Manager and will work closely with the Avantor’s Lab and Production Services team of over 1,500 on- and off-site expert personnel – and our customers – to perform customized, mission-based lab work and research protocols that help return time back to science.

Schedule:

Wednesday - Friday alternates Saturday and Monday

(7:00 am - 5:30 pm)

What we’re looking for 

• Education: High school diploma required; Associate's or bachelor’s degree in Logistics/ Science/ is desirable (or equivalent work experience) is required 

• Experience: 1–2 years of experience in material handling/inventory replenishment or customer service.

• Collaboration Tool: Microsoft Teams experience preferred.

​Preferred Qualifications: 

• Proven time management, forecasting knowledge, and/or expediting experience.

• Ability to work independently to prioritize multiple competing tasks.

• Proficiency with MS Office suite

• Strong problem-solving & analytical skills.

• Presentation skills

• Solid written and verbal communication skills

Avantor’s Lab and Production Services team is a crucial part of the Avantor Services group serving over 500 customers in biopharma, pharmaceutical, educational, industrial, and high-tech industries with customizable, flexible solutions and end-to-end laboratory operations support. In this role you will:

• Generating international and domestic shipping documentation materials using customer systems like Oracle and Workstream.

• Handling and vacuum sealing material orders for replenishing supplies required in process printing labels and other documentation, as well as organizing essential paperwork.

• Utilizing various shipping partner websites, including DHL and FedEx.

• Thoroughly verifying lot numbers, addresses, quantities, and other pertinent information for each shipment.

• Streamlining orders for inventory replenishment.

• Receiving inbound shipments from carriers such as UPS, FedEx, and others, while keeping Standard Operating Procedures up-to-date.

• Managing logistical activities, encompassing shipping and material reception, in coordination with customer contacts and team members. This also involves basic order entry and following up on existing back orders.

• Packing and weighing boxes.

• Will work in cleanroom environment & be required to wear a hair net, beard cover, and shoe cover.
