Barbaricum is seeking a senior-level Analytics Researcher to lead the research efforts in analytic theory and emerging capabilities to support the discovery of clandestine advanced threat actor activities for a federal customer at the forefront of the Nation's cybersecurity challenges. This position will be responsible for conducting ongoing research and evaluation of new technologies, performing research and development of experimental analytics based on original research and working with 3rd parties (e.g., academic, military, commercial), and translating and installing analytics for testing/deployment in collaboration with the analytic platform team.

Responsibilities

• Lead research efforts in analytic theory and emerging capabilities to support the discovery of clandestine advanced threat actor activities.
• Conduct ongoing research and evaluation of new technologies.
• Perform research and development of experimental analytics based on original research and working with 3rd parties.
• Translate and install analytics for testing/deployment in collaboration with the analytic platform team.
• Participate in ongoing research and evaluation of new technologies.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior staff.

Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI Clearance
• Masters or PHD (preferred) degree in a related field (including mathematics related)
• 15+ years in a highly related work
• Advanced knowledge of cyber threats, tools, techniques, and processes
