Senior Commercial AV Technician

Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Senior Commercial AV Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for leading a combination of new installation work and commissioning/setup of audio-visual (AV) systems in commercial environments. This role requires a strong technical background in AV systems, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team. Candidates schedule 4 day 10 hour shifts and company vehicle provided.

Responsibilities:

• Installation Work:
• Perform new installations of AV systems, including projectors, screens, sound systems, video conferencing equipment, and control systems.
• Mount and secure AV equipment and run cabling in walls, ceilings, and floors.
• Ensure all installations meet company and industry standards for quality and safety.
• Collaborate with other trades (e.g., electricians, carpenters) to coordinate installation activities.
• Commissioning and Setup:
• Conduct commissioning and setup of AV systems, ensuring all components are correctly configured and functional.
• Program and calibrate AV systems, including control systems (e.g., Crestron, AMX), audio processors, and video switchers.
• Test and troubleshoot AV systems to ensure optimal performance and resolve any issues that arise.
• Provide on-site support during system handover to clients, including training on system operation.
• Maintenance and Support:
• Perform routine maintenance and updates on installed AV systems.
• Diagnose and repair technical issues with AV systems, providing timely solutions to minimize downtime.
• Maintain accurate records of installations, configurations, and maintenance activities.
