As a Service Assistant on the Performance Management team at LINK, you will be responsible for performing a wide variety of general maintenance repairs and maintaining the grounds at an assigned multi-family apartment community in Columbus, Ohio. This is a non-exempt position reporting to the on-site Service Manager and includes daily training with the maintenance team to build knowledge and skill in building maintenance. - Perform tasks to ensure the upkeep of building exteriors, amenities, and common areas for assigned property
- Assist with minor repairs
- Remove debris from the clubhouse, pool (if applicable), driveways, parking lot, and other common residential areas to ensure property grounds remain clean
- Ensure breezeways, stairwells and light fixtures should be kept clean and free of debris, bugs, cobwebs, etc.
- Complete trash removal or trash compaction as needed
- Perform necessary landscaping tasks that may include tending to green spaces, weeding, mulching, or landscaping beds, detailing, sweeping and power washing stairwells and other common areas, and shoveling snow/spreading ice melt on walkways during inclement weather
- Clean work area and maintain company tools, equipment, and excess supplies as directed
- Complete any pertinent safety checklists and/or inspections
- Communicate professionally at all times with employees, residents, & vendors as a representative of the Company
- Performs other related duties as required and assigned
- A high school degree or GED is preferred
- A willingness to learn maintenance skills through on-the-job training
- Grounds maintenance for residential, retail, or commercial property management is a plus
- Valid driver’s license is preferred
- Reliable transportation to and from work each day
- Ability to sit and stand frequently throughout the day and occasionally climb, balancing, stoop, crouching, lifting, crawl, or use of a ladder. Must be able to lift heavy items up to 50 lbs.
