This position requires ongoing weekend and evening work to support partnership development and engagement.

Purpose

The Assistant Director of Partnerships is responsible for developing, maintaining, and expanding strategic partnerships that promote the organization's growth and align with the mission of OnRamps. Focuses on identifying new opportunities and managing relationships with key stakeholders at PK-16, regional, and state levels. Collaborates with internal teams to evaluate and address emerging needs in this area of work and work closely with the Associate Director of Partnerships and the Executive Director of OnRamps to support strategy development and implementation.

Responsibilities

  • Develops and implements the long-range and incremental strategies to expand OnRamps’ impact through strategic partnerships with PK-16 institutions, agencies, and non-profit organizations. Focuses on increasing including dual enrollment and distance learning solutions by leveraging partnerships across Texas and nationally. Supervises team members as assigned. Implements the identified CRM tools to effectively manage an annual partnership cycle tailored to external partner needs.

  • Develops and implements strategies for accomplishing acquisition, retention, growth, and outcome targets for PK-16, agency, and non-profit partnerships in alignment with OnRamps’ strategic plan, under the direction of the Associate Director of Partnerships and Executive Director. Maintains documentation of targets, activities, and outcomes, and provides regular reports in alignment with established processes.

  • Conducts ongoing market research to identify new partnership opportunities and responds to trends and stays current with external forces impacting our work. Monitors, evaluates, and tracks progress of legislative agendas and changes in agency policies and programs relevant to education and partnership strategy. Facilitates internal knowledge-sharing, briefings, and professional learning for OnRamps staff, and evaluates internal practices to align with emerging policy changes.

  • Serves as the primary client relationship manager for potential, new, and existing PK-16, agency, and non-profit partnerships as assigned. Manages annual cycle items, including new and renewal of existing contracts, data sharing agreements, and CRM documentation of regular communications/activities in alignment with partner status, needs, and strategic plan. Provides exceptional customer service and relationship management to OnRamps stakeholders. Maintains effective communication including status of items, and timely escalation of issues. Practices decorum in all interactions. Represents the organization at external events, conferences, and meetings to build brand visibility and attract new partners.

  • Maintains documentation, communication, and reporting in alignment with established processes. Applies standard evaluation procedures to analyze data and monitor trends, evaluates, and documents outcomes through recurrent issue tracking and reporting. Utilizes data to recommend strategic adjustments and applies continuous improvement principles to areas of responsibility and supervision to optimize impact, sustainability, growth, effectiveness, and goal attainment.

  • Supports the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of professional learning products and assets created by the Partnerships team. Contributes to the delivery of these resources in alignment with OnRamps’ products and services. Completes other duties and special projects as as
