We have an opportunity for a Staff Accountant will support the accounting and finance activities of the company. This role will have a primary focus on core corporate accounting activity, with exposure to the broader business. The ideal candidate will have experience performing month end closing activities related to preparing journal entries for and reconciling, revenue recognition according to ASC 606 guidance, M&A activity, fixed assets & CIP, prepaids, payroll reporting, and ad hoc projects. Key Responsibilities
• Manage revenue tracking, including calculating quarterly accruals, analyzing carrier payments, and ensuring accurate revenue posting to member agencies
• Prepare and reconcile journal entries for multi-entity bank accounts, payroll and benefits, intercompany activity, and fixed assets using Blackline suite
• Support timely and accurate monthly and quarterly balance sheet reconciliations and deliverables
• Assist in the preparation of consolidated financial statements for multiple business entities
• Conduct profit & loss (P&L) analysis and provide insights to support financial decision-making
• Support the year-end audit process
• Identify and implement process improvements across financial operations
• Contribute to ad hoc analysis and cross-functional finance projects as needed
Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
• 1–3 years of relevant accounting experience
• Knowledge of US GAAP and revenue recognition (ASC 606)
• Experience with ERP systems preferred; Great Plains knowledge is a plus
• Familiarity with Blackline software is a bonus
• Strong Excel skills, including the use of formulas, pivot tables, and data analysis tools
• High attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
