SCHEDULE:
Full-time 40-hour position
Days & Evening assigned schedule to work anytime between 6am through 10:30pm (8 hours shifts) as needed by the department
Every 3rd weekend plus holidays rotation
LOCATION:
759 Chestnut Street, Springfield, MA
QUALIFICATIONS:
2 years of experience as a Pharmacy Technician in an acute care setting and experience in the area/technology/system they will be leading (required)
High School Diploma, GED or HiSet
Pharmacy Technician License for State of Massachusetts (required)
PTCB - National Certification is required for Acute Care (required)

Pharmacy technicians, under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist, assist in various activities of the pharmacy department. Through the leadership of the Pharmacy Technician Supervisor(s) and the operations leadership team, the pharmacy technician is responsible for the essential functions and responsibilities outlined in this document, noting every employee is expected to perform other similar and related duties as assigned. Obtain and maintain appropriate knowledge and understanding of Baystate Medical Center/Baystate Health (BH) Pharmacy Services. The incumbent serves as a representative of the department both inside and outside the Pharmacy and Hospital and must adhere to system and department compliance policies, any applicable laws and regulations, and the Baystate Operating Principles.
The Certified Pharmacy Technician Lead serves as the lead technician for a specific area, system, or function for acute care pharmacy services. In this role, the individual will serve as the content or subject matter expert and will be expected to support the orientation and training of employees for their oversight area and manage accountability and reporting related to operational metrics and regulatory compliance as needed.
