POSITION TITLE: Family Services Manager STATUS: Exempt, FT GRADE: 5
DEPT: Youth and Family Potential PMC PROGRAM: Head Start SALARY: $70,000/yr
REPORTS TO: Head Start Family Services Director SUPERVISES: Family Advocates/ERSEA Specialist
SUMMARY: Plans, organizes, represents, and implements the Family and Community Partnership service area under the general direction of the Family Services Director
COLLABORATES WITH: Early Childhood Services Team, Child Care Partners, Families
ESSENTIAL responsibilities:
· Maintains a thorough knowledge of Head Start policies and procedures, stays up to date on changes to federal and state regulations
· Maintains a thorough knowledge of other State and Federal early childhood programs
· Maintains effective communication between Grantee and Partner Sites
· Supervises Family Advocates to ensure full enrollment at partner sites, implement individualized Family Partnership agreements with parents, and supports systems to ensure children’s health requirements are met
· Supervises ERSEA Specialist to ensure requirements efforts support enrollment, as well as tracking of attendance to meet federal requirements
· Acts as a community liaison for the YWCA and Early Childhood programs
· Coordinates and monitors through collaboration with data team, services performed by the Family Advocates to ensure the areas of family well-being, community partnership, family engagement and family goal setting are being implemented in alignment with the Head Start Performance Standards.
· Monitors ongoing reports of data through use of the database and ensures accuracy and deliverables are met
· Engages with community stake holders to develop partnerships that support the needs of families
