About the role

Overview

Responsible for assisting the Director in the overall maintenance of the Pre-School classrooms. 

Responsibilities

  • Orientates teachers, assistant teachers, student teachers, and volunteers to the program.
  • Responsible for the program at all times.
  • Assists teachers in the writing of children’s progress reports, daily cleaning of the classrooms and the development of lesson plans.
  • Responsible for the supervision and evaluation of teachers and assistant teachers, which must be reviewed by the Program manager.
  • Meets with parents, works with specialists, supervises teachers, develops curriculum, and assists in any administrative tasks as requested by the Program Manager.

Minimum Entrance Qualifications

  • Must be at least twenty-one (21) years of age preferred.
  • Some supervisory skills are preferred.
  • Must have at least two (2) years of experience in a preschool setting.
  • AA or BA in Early Childhood Education is preferred.
  • Ability to work independently in a multi-cultural setting.
  • Must be Office for Children (OFC) Lead Teacher certified.
