JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS

Penn State Global's Sponsored Relations office is seeking a dedicated, student-centered, Administrative Assistant to join our team. This role supports the Assistant Director of Sponsored Relations and Sponsored Student Community during the summer season by fulfilling student and sponsor-driven document requests. This position:

  • Is tasked with supplying documentation to sponsorship advisors upon request. Responsibilities include managing the transcript ordering process, creating campus and enrollment reports, preparing tailored verifications, and handling various inquiries. Additionally, the position supports students and sponsors by monitoring the Sponsored Relations inbox and ensuring all email and phone requests are addressed or appropriately redirected.
  • Requires regular communication with sponsorship advisors at embassies or sponsor offices. They will update advisors on major changes in student status, administrative processes, or concerns that may lead to withdrawals, health interventions, or faculty involvement.
  • Will serve as a resource for faculty, staff, and administrators by providing guidance on sponsored related requirements and institutional responsibilities related to student sponsorship compliance and success.
  • Supports sponsored students' academic success by developing pre-arrival guides, orientation content, and yearly workshop material in collaboration with PSU Global offices.

The ASR includes crime statistics and institutional policies concerning campus security, such as those concerning alcohol and drug use, crime prevention, the reporting of crimes, sexual assault, and other matters.
