Position Overview

The Division of Developmental Disabilities is seeking to hire an Information Systems Analyst I for the Kiley Developmental Center located in Waukegan, Illinois to provide advanced technical support and training to end users of packaged software systems and automated equipment. Resolves computed related problems. Evaluates and tests hardware and software packages.

Essential Functions

• Provides advanced technical support and training to end users of packaged software systems and automated equipment at Ann M. Kiley Center.
• Provides training to staff on the use of personal computers and approved software.
• Maintains local area network.
• Maintains computer hardware and software.
• Procures and maintains system passwords.
• Performs other duties as required or assigned that are reasonable within the scope of the duties enumerated above.

Minimum Qualifications

• Requires knowledge, skill and mental development equivalent to four (4) years of college with course work in computer science or directly related fields and requires one (1) year of professional experience in a related Information Technology field.

Preferred Qualifications

• Two (2) years of professional experience providing advanced technical support and training to end users of packaged software systems and automated equipment for a public or private organization.
• Two (2) years of professional experience maintaining local area network and installing software for a public or private organization.
• Two (2) years of professional experience assembling and configuring computer systems on-site for a public or private organization.
• Two (2) years of professional experience procuring and maintain system passwords for a public or private organization.
• Two (2) years of professional experience maintaining inventory control of hardware for a public or private organization.
• Two (2) years of professional experience assessing needs for computer hardware training and making recommendations.
