Description
We are a local, privately owned, and operated telecommunications construction company that specializes in directional drilling, property restoration, cell tower, and aerial placement. We have been in business since 1998 and have installed over two thousand job sites each year since. We currently run multiple directional drilling, cell tower, installation/maintenance, and restoration crews across the state. Each team is equipped with state-of-the-art, well-maintained vehicles, and machinery.

Job Summary
The Locator utilizes the mapping tools provided, location information, along with locating equipment to locate underground utilities including, but not limited to electric and gas utilities telephone and other communication lines. This role may regularly be exposed to heat, cold, rain and other elements of outdoor weather.
Primary Responsibilities
- Reading maps and blueprints to determine where utilities are located
- Indicates utility locations through the utilization of paint & flags, and communicates other relevant information to excavation personnel
- May use electronic detection equipment
- May have to perform physical activities such as using a shovel to unearth utilities
- Other duties as assigned

Requirements
- Valid State driver's license, including an MVR record that is deemed acceptable by the company
- Proficient in the use of hand tools and equipment. (shovels, screw drivers, wrenches, and ped keys etc.)
- Computer Skills
- 3+ years of experience in related field
- Previous experience using GPS and Esri (field maps) to provide gps as-builts of existing plant preferred.
- Must be able to work overtime when duties cannot be performed within a normal work schedule
