What You Will Do:

The Cybersecurity & IT System Controls role will support a DoD Client to help engage with senior DoD officials and support a team to optimize all the internal IT and cybersecurity controls throughout all elements of their organization. The Consultant will meet regularly with DoD IT officials to support audit remediation activities, such as developing/updating process documentation, Standard Operating Procedures, and developing/implementing corrective action plans to address findings. The individual will leverage their cybersecurity and IT controls expertise to develop solutions and recommendations to present to the client and lead efforts to address broader Financial Improvement and Audit Remediation (FIAR) activities across the Office of the Secretary of Defense.

What You Will Need:

• Ability to OBTAIN and MAINTAIN a SECRET DoD security clearance

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university; FOUR (4) years of additional professional experience in lieu of Bachelor's

• THREE (3) years of Department of Defense experience in cybersecurity, accounting, auditing, audit remediation, internal controls or other Federal Cybersecurity Management and Reporting discipline

What Would Be Nice To Have:

• An ACTIVE and MAINTAINED SECRET Federal or DoD security clearance

• Experience interacting with clients to include DOD senior officials at the HQ, J6, and Chief Information Officer (CIO) levels

• Ability to lead team in fast paced environment

• Knowledge of DoD cybersecurity policy and IT Control Systems and relevant policies (e.g., DoDI 8510.01)

• Assessments of DOD processes or internal controls

• Experience with DOD cybersecurity activities and financial reporting

• Performing IT control audits, audit readiness services or audit remediation and sustainment services within DoD or another Federal Government agency or department
