About the Job You’re Considering
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Dispensing Lead Engineer to join our team and support the integration and launch of joining equipment within our Automotive OEM client’s Body in White (BIW) operations. This role plays a critical part in ensuring equipment performance, certification, and continuous improvement across both new and existing model programs.
Your Role
- Lead the integration of dispensing equipment in alignment with North America BIW specifications.
- Collaborate with product engineering, material suppliers, and equipment integrators to ensure successful launch and certification.
- Review and approve Early Equipment Management (EEM) deliverables to meet BIW joining standards.
- Maintain dispensing certification throughout the launch process and ensure documentation is up to date.
- Provide technical feedback to BIW management on equipment performance, productivity, and cost/quality improvements.
- Support plant program launches and troubleshoots dispensing operations to optimize throughput.
- Facilitate bi-weekly Dispensing CoC calls and ensure key performance indicators (KPIs) are tracked and communicated.
Your Skills and Experience
- A bachelor’s degree in a technical field is required.
- At least 5 years of experience in manufacturing, with a focus on joining technologies and dispensing equipment.
- Familiarity with equipment from suppliers such as Nordson, Atlas Copco, IDS, and others.
- Strong expertise in dispensing parameter development, equipment troubleshooting, and operational requirements.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills, with the ability to lead cross-functional teams.
- A proactive, self-motivated approach and a passion for driving change and improvement.
- Ability to travel freely between sites in the US and Canada (valid passport or equivalent required).
Preferred Qualifications:
- 2+ years in Automotive industry, supporting launch activities in body shop and plants
