The Division of Digestive Diseases supports the University of Cincinnati Medical Center (UCMC), West Chester Hospital (WCH), University of Cincinnati Cancer Center (UCCC), and the Cincinnati Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center. The Division collaborates with the BMT program, an Experimental Therapeutics program, a Hemophilia Center, a Sickle Cell Disease Center and supports the 9 clinical centers of excellence of the UC Cancer Center. Research labs provide venues for translational studies. In addition, ample opportunities exist on campus for access to resources in immunobiology, laboratory medicine, transfusion medicine, cell mediated therapy and cancer biology at the University of Cincinnati Medical College, the Hoxworth Blood Center and the Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center.
The University of Cincinnati College of Medicine, Department of Internal Medicine, Division of Digestive Diseases is seeking four (4) faculty candidates at the Assistant, Associate and Professor levels. Mid-career or later, and those interested in a joint VA and UC appointment are encouraged to apply. J-1 waiver opportunities are available, but limited. The successful applicants will be provided with a competitive salary and benefits, and the final faculty rank and title will be commensurate with the candidate's qualifications.
These are clinical academic mission positions, with support for research, teaching, and administration. These positions are supported by dedicated administrative staff and advanced practice providers. Compensation is highly competitive with the opportunity for incentives based on clinical and/or academic productivity.
Essential Functions
- Specialties: General Gastroenterology, Inflammatory Bowel Diseases, Pancreatology, Transplant Hepatology, Hepatology Section Head, and Gastroenterology Hospitalist.
- Engage in fellow and resident teaching.
- Participate in or initiate research projects.
- Adult gastroenterology practice (inpatient only for the hospitalist position) Adult hepatology practice including transplantation.
Minimum Requirements
- MD/DO or equivalent.
- State of Ohio Medical License.
- Completion of Internal Medicine residency.
- Completion of a Gastroenterology fellowship or Hepatology fellowship from an accredited fellowship program.
- Board eligibility or Board certification in Gastroenterology or Hepatology.
