The Associate Director of Planned Giving reports to the Assistant Vice Chancellor of Planned Giving and is responsible for planned giving marketing, advertising, overseeing digital communication, events (in person and online) and donor relations, including the creation and implementation of stewardship plans for the Planned Giving Office. The Associate Director will be the main liaison for editing and reviewing all planned giving MOU's.Job Description
Primary Duties & Responsibilities:
Develops and provides oversight for the planned giving marketing, prospecting, and stewardship plans.
- Responsible for production, writing and distribution of the planned giving newsletter, ads, and other direct marketing activities.
- Responsible for developing strategies and materials to reach specific planned giving prospect groups.
- Leads efforts to promote planned giving through publications and territory activities including developing and designing marketing materials.
- Manages the development and maintenance of Planned Giving website including creating and managing messaging and content; and serve as the liaison to the staff responsible for the UA website.
- Responsible for planned giving donor appreciation and stewardship mailings and reports.
- Develops and maintains planned giving brochures and materials.
- Manages relationship between Planned Giving and WU Publications and other UA marketing teams.
- Develops analysis and benchmarking to measure Planned Giving marketing results.
- Develops and manages the marketing budget for Planned Giving.
- Responsible for organizing planned giving events, such as seminars, appreciation events and webinars, etc.
- Responsible for working with reunion, campaign, and other development units in providing planned giving materials, presentations, and other information.
- Develops and maintains planned giving social media presence and marketing.
- Directs planned giving inquiries to the appropriate planned giving gift officer.
Assists Assistant Vice Chancellor for Planned Giving in the oversight and preparation of all MOUs.
- Edits and reviews all planned giving MOUs.
- Works closely with the stewardship office to finalize planned giving MOUs for all UA gift officers.
Plans giving Donor Relations responsibilities
- Working with the Office of Stewardship, develops, implements, maintains, and updates a comprehensive planned giving stewardship plan for planned giving donors.
- Works with UA colleagues on individual planned giving stewardship plans
- Assists planned giving gift officers with stewardship strategies, plans and inquiries for individual donors.
Performs other duties as assigned.
