Senior Software Engineer, Backend (Payments)

This is a high-impact backend engineering role focused on building and evolving large-scale payment infrastructure that powers financial operations for millions of users. You will work on critical systems such as wallets, accounts, balances, payment authorization, card lifecycle management, compliance integrations, and financial reporting. The role sits within a highly autonomous, product-driven environment where engineering decisions directly shape user experience and financial reliability. You will collaborate with distributed teams across Brazil and France, partnering closely with Product and Engineering stakeholders to deliver scalable and resilient systems. This position requires strong technical depth combined with product thinking and ownership mindset. You will contribute to the evolution of a Ruby-based backend ecosystem while improving system performance, security, and observability.
