This position supports the work of the Y, a leading nonprofit, charitable organization committed to strengthening community through youth development, healthy living and social responsibility. Provides leadership, instruction and motivation for students in gymnastics classes. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Full-time 40 hours/week: 25-30 hours a week in the gymnastics gym which includes direct instruction, supervision of programs, organizing and cleaning of the facility as needed, etc.
• Mentors and leads Gymnastics Instructors. Assists with onboarding and training of new staff members.
• Assists with running staff meetings, trainings, and continuing to improve staff education.
• Supports Gymnastics Director with administrative duties, as assigned.
• Assists with the preparation and upkeep of program curriculum and lesson plans, as well as communication of that to all instructors and gymnastics staff.
• Ability to instruct, correct, and spot skills up to/and including the team levels.
• Ability to coach any age group from age 2, to adult.
• Conveys information on gymnastics programs and schedules and as appropriate.
• Assesses participants, and refers students and parents to appropriate programs.
• Maintains records as required (i.e. rosters, attendance, etc.).

Requirements

• Minimum age of 18 years old.
• 5+ years gymnastics instruction experience.
• Current CPR PRO & First Aid certifications preferred.
• Child abuse prevention training annually.
