About the role

Overview

We are seeking a new member for our team of long-term civil servants in the Workers' Compensation program. This office is responsible for monitoring and case management for all claims of work-related injuries in the state. The work of this position includes paper file processing and interfiling, mail sorting, data entry, answering phones, providing general information, and office admin duties such as ordering supplies.

Our office anticipates the completion of a modernization effort in the coming year. This is expected to alter the job duties of this position, eliminating most paper processing and manual data entry work, creating greater efficiency, and allowing more growth and development for this position.

This position is responsible for complex administrative work as an assistant to the Program Manager and has significant collaborative interaction with other division or department staff, outside service providers, and the public. Work is performed under the supervision of an administrative superior, with leeway for independent action and the expectation of self-management.
