Student Assistant
Classification Minimum Requirements• Summer & Fall availability required/preference will go to those who have that availability
• Be a current University of Florida full-time student in good standing with the University
• Establish an exemplary work ethic by being dependable, productive, paying attention to details and maintaining effective communication.
• Demonstrate a desire and willingness to learn in a fast-paced team-oriented environment
• Complete all training requirements upon being hired in a timely fashion
• Ability to commit to working 10 or more hours per week
• Other duties as assigned
This position is open to all students who are eligible to work on campus and will be employed through student Other Personnel Services (OPS) and must maintain a minimum 2.0 grade point average. Registered students are employed on a part-time basis, up to 20 hours per week.
Student Government has an opportunity for a student assistant at our SGAO office as a key support staff member within Student Government. Student assistants provide support to customers and professional staff in all areas.
- Open & Closes SG front office
- Fields phone calls, take messages & directs them to the appropriate person
- Greet and acknowledge all students, staff, faculty and visitors
- Manage office supply inventory
- Maintain an orderly and clean facility
- Maintain and update directories as needed
- Perform other duties as assigned
$15.00/hr

- Previous experience with customer service
- Proficient with verbal & written communication
- Fine attention to detail, professionalism, dependability and effective communication skills
