The University of Nevada, Las Vegas invites applications for Administrative Coordinator, UNLV Provost [R0148754]
ROLE of the POSITION
The Administrative Coordinator plays a key role in supporting the operations and priorities of the Office of the Executive Vice President and Provost. This position is responsible for coordinating a range of administrative, logistical, and project-related activities that contribute to the efficiency, responsiveness, and effectiveness of the office.
Reporting to the Chief of Staff, the Administrative Coordinator manages systems that support daily operations and service standards, coordinates high-level meetings and communications, and supports scheduling, travel, and correspondence for the Provost. The position also prepares materials and reports, and contributes to the development and documentation of office procedures.
In addition, the Administrative Coordinator leads the planning and execution of high-profile events and meetings, regularly interfaces with internal and external stakeholders, and helps ensure that the office’s activities are carried out with professionalism, attention to detail, and a high level of discretion. The role requires strong judgment, organizational agility, and a proactive, collaborative approach to problem-solving.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution
- At least 3 years of administrative work experience in a complex professional setting
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and tasks simultaneously with attention to detail and logistical precision
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- A graduate degree
- Work experience in a similar role
- Experience with Workday, PeopleSoft, and other information systems in use at UNLV
