The Boeing Company is looking for a Principal Strategy Analyst to join our team in Englewood, CO.
The Principal Strategy Analyst will report to the Senior Manager of Boeing Global Services (BGS) Strategy and support the Digital Aviation Solutions (DAS) business unit. This role will help shape digital strategy and enable digital transformation across all other BGS business units.
This is an excellent opportunity to support Digital Aviation Solutions with data and analytics driven recommendations for growth and competitive advantage by maintaining up to date industry knowledge/trends and competitor analysis. In addition, this role will entail coordinating and synchronizing growth opportunities and related investments across all of BGS.
Position Responsibilities:
- Support the DAS Executive Team in developing and communicating strategies to both key internal and external stakeholders
- Support and provides strategic guidance for the Executive team on key initiatives, current business, and the competitive landscape
- Assist in shaping and coordinating digital strategy/digital transformation BGS-wide recognizing the leading role DAS plays in Software as a Service (SaaS)/Data as a Service (DaaS) offerings, data operationalization, AI (Artificial Intelligence)/ML (Machine Learning) development and reference architecture
- Address business problems with a long-term view, including Mergers and Acquisitions (M&A) but when necessary, assist in the short-term
- Provide actionable insights and modeling to improve strategy and performance including; providing, communicating and implementing strategies to address competition
- Develop dashboards, executive summaries, and weekly/monthly reports to measure against Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and market dynamics
- Develop business-specific market, product, and customer knowledge to better serve the needs of senior staff and customers
- Monitor industry news and developments to identify potential investment opportunities and minimize risk
- Communicate professionally and create effective visuals to convey data/info in an easily digestible manner with clear takeaways
- Prepare, organize, and display data/results to convey targeted messages to each audience
This position is hybrid. This means that the selected candidate will be required to perform some work onsite at one of the listed location options. This is at the hiring team’s discretion and could potentially change in the future.
This position must meet export control compliance requirements. To meet export control compliance requirements, a “U.S. Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.15 is required. “U.S. Person” includes U.S. Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
- Bachelor's or Graduate's Degree in business, business administration, computer science or engineering or equivalent
- 5+ years of experience leading or supporting digital transformations
- 5+ years of experience with SaaS (Software as a Service), business models and key performance metrics
- 3+ years of experience leading cross-functional teams
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
- Experience with the principals and consequences (including business model evolution) of digital transformation in physical industries
- Experience utilizing business case development and strategic thinking to solve problems
- Experience with complex decision-making and problem-solving
- Experience advocating continuous improvement and disruptive thinking to drive competitive advantage
- Experience negotiating and collaborating with others, excellent team skills
Typical Education/Experience:
Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 14 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD+9 years' related work experience, Master+12 years' related work experience, 18 years' related work experience, etc.).
