Pratt & Whitney is working to once again transform the future of flight—designing, building and servicing engines unlike any the world has ever seen. And because transformation begins from within, we’re seeking the people to drive it. So, calling all curious.

Come ready to explore and you’ll find a place where your talent takes flight—beyond the borders of title, a country or your comfort zone. Bring your passion and commitment and we’ll welcome you into a tight-knit team that takes our mission personally. Channel your drive to make a difference into shaping an organization and an industry that’s evolving fast to the future.

At Pratt & Whitney, the difference you make is on display every day. Just look up. Are you ready to go beyond?

Engineering at Pratt & Whitney (P&W) is looking for a self-motivated and disciplined individual to join its team as a OKC ELMT Director supporting the Military Engines Engineering (MEE) team.  MEE is a 40+ organization whose Program Chief Engineers provide leadership and support for all of the Military engines programs, including Fighter, Mobility, F135, Military Development Programs, APU’s as well as the Engine Life Management Team.

The vision for the Engine Life Management Team (ELMT) is a World-class support of Military Programs at the depot based on a highly integrated, highly effective team that ensures product integrity while supporting depot production targets.  The core location for the ELMT is located in Oklahoma City at Tinker Air Force Base, and it supports multiple military depots worldwide.  The ELMT is responsible for the F100, TF33, F119, F135 and F117 engines.  The ELMT Director provides leadership to the cross functional team comprised of Module Center Engineering, Aftermarket and Sustainment Engineering, Military Customer Support and Services, and Engine Design and Systems Organization.  This is an approximately 200 person team that is expanding in the near future.

What You Will Do:

The ELMT Director is responsible for the overall organization that optimizes engineering resource distribution, roles and responsibilities and evolves as the aftermarket business changes to improve engineering support of aftermarket operation and the customer.  As the military sustainment business grows, and P&W’s role in support of the fielded product expands, it is expected that the ELMT will need to evolve under the ELMT Directors leadership.  The ELMT Director is also the primary contact for USAF and JPO sustainment leadership on site at Tinker AFB.  Additionally, this is a key leadership role in the governance of the P&W Oklahoma City site.

  • Guides alignment between ELMT and Sustainment Operations, Quality, and each Program Management Office to effectively support depot sustainment

  • Problem solving at an exceptional level of complexity and span a wide range of difficult and unique issues across the multiple engine line responsibilities

  • 10-20% travel is anticipated

Qualifications You Must Have:

  • BS in Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering

  • 14+ years of engineering experience or 12+ years with an advanced degree with project management experience.

  • US Citizenship is required as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access the financial management system due to government contractual requirements.
