If you are passionate about building web and mobile applications across platforms including advanced 2D/3D applications, come join our engineering team!

You will build our sophisticated web and mobile applications such as HeartFlow FFRct, RoadMap and Plaque Analysis and HeartFlow Planner. Specifically focused on advanced reporting and visualization. In short you will create 2d and 3d visualizations of HeatFlow’s data analysis to allow clinicians to quickly understand and make diagnostic decisions.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Create Medical Visualizations with Three.js, WebGL and Typescript
  • Craft intuitive experiences for clinicians to interact with HeartFlow Analysis.
  • Write tests and documentation for the features you’ve implemented
  • Debug production issues
  • Proactively raise issues and suggest improvements in retrospectives
  • Suggest improvements to engineering practices and processes
  • Help your teammates grow through mentorship and close collaboration
  • Support a large-scale system development effort in the medical device industry
  • Help create the next generation of cutting-edge heart disease diagnostic systems
  • Be a critical thinker to solve problems efficiently, pragmatically, and continually seek information.
  • Build strong relationships within the team and cross functionally
  • Communicate efficiently and effectively with other teams
  • Apply your best technical innovation, problem solving and leadership skills
  • Contribute to planning, estimation and requirements management

Skills Needed:

  • A passion for 2D and 3D rendering on web and mobile platforms, using technologies such as:
    • WebGL, Three.js, OpenGL, Typescript, Javascript etc.
  • Deep understanding of modern software development best practices: 
    • Testing, CI/CD, Devops, agile methodologies, etc.
  • Strong proficiency in JavaScript and Typescript
  • Experience with use of architectural patterns (e.g MVC, MVVM etc.)
  • Comfortable helping refine requirements via iterative prototyping and development
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Experience with cloud-based infrastructures (Amazon Web Services or equivalent)

Educational Requirements & Work Experience:

  • Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related domain
  • 5+ years of relevant industry experience in a software company
  • Experience shipping and maintaining commercial mobile and web applications.

Bonus Points:

  • Experience with medical applications or other regulated industries.
  • Experience with web based UI frameworks, such as Vue.js or React.
  • Experience with modern C++
  • Experience with Python
  • Experience with Medical Visualization and Volume Rendering 

Work locations are flexible supporting working from any of our office locations or working remotely from anywhere.

The pay range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to experience and training; skill sets; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. A reasonable estimate of the base salary compensation range is $126,000 to $170,000 (for all locations outside San Francisco Bay Area) and $141,000 to $190,350 (for San Francisco Bay Area).
