We recognize those who work diligently for us and reward them for personal and professional integrity, communication skills, distinct competencies and expertise in specific strategies, ability to collaborate as a team member and true dedication to the interests of our clients.</p><p></p><p><span><span><span><span>We thank you for your interest in joining the Barings team, and invite you to explore our current employment opportunities.</span></span></span></span></p><p></p><p></p><p></p><p><b><span>Position Title: </span></b><span>Senior Analyst, Real Estate Equity Europe</span></p><p><b><span>Business Title: </span></b><span>Senior Associate </span></p><p><b><span>Department: </span></b><span>Real Estate Equity Europe</span></p><p><b><span>Location:</span></b> Munich</p><p></p><p><b><u>Team Overview </u></b></p><p></p><p>Barings Real Estate provides investment services, including a comprehensive suite of private and public real estate debt and equity expertise and services, to institutional and other qualified investors around the globe.  Its London-based European platform includes a team of over 95 associates operating from eight regional offices located in seven countries, and offers access to all sectors of the commercial property market with services that straddle both equity and debt investment management in both private and public markets.</p><p></p><p>Barings seeks to attract talented individuals to join the firm, believing every employee has an integral role in aligning our interests with those of our clients.  Barings utilizes a performance-based competitive compensation structure consisting of base pay and incentive bonuses to reward employees who contribute to the firm's overall success.</p><p></p><p><b><u><span>Principal Responsibilities </span></u></b></p><p></p><p><b>Asset Management</b></p><ul><li>Support the Asset Management team in all aspects of the daily asset management tasks</li><li>Run dynamic financial models to analyse standing investments, test assumptions and run sensitivities</li><li>Run cost plannings, run letting-, sales- and scenario-analyses, prepare and update business plans and budgets</li><li>Analyse and produce reporting for internal and external clients</li><li>Controlling of capex programs and ESG initiatives</li><li>On-site inspections and meetings with external servicers and tenants together with the responsible Asset Manager</li><li>Preparing and coordinating the drafting of agreements with third party service providers</li><li>Collect, process and report different property relating data</li><li>Support in the creation of data rooms</li></ul><p></p><p><b>Transactions</b></p><ul><li>Gather and track information on incoming deals</li><li>Analyse information in data rooms provided</li><li>Conduct detailed investment analysis and underwritings of real estate opportunities, test assumptions and run sensitivities</li><li>Prepare detailed investment committee papers which concisely present the opportunity, clearly identify and assess the risks of the deal</li><li>Participate in presentations to senior decision makers or investment committee</li><li>Support the Transaction Management team on all aspects during a transaction and during the due diligence phase, including onboarding and steering of external advisers</li><li>Review due diligence reports and robustly challenge assumptions and conclusions to ensure that the due diligence process has been thoroughly completed and potential risks identified</li><li>Support the closing of transactions</li><li>Liaise with internal (primarily underwriting, asset management, research, product management) and external parties (primarily brokers, borrowers, valuers, lawyers, technical consultants, researchers etc.) required to complete the aforementioned tasks</li></ul><p></p><p><b>General</b></p><p>The Analyst will have the opportunity to work on the acquisition of properties as well as participate in the implementation of the business plan and therefore will build an important interface alongside these two functions</p><p></p><p><b><u>Competencies </u></b></p><ul><li><b>Technical skills</b> - Demonstrates strong technical and analytical skills, including a very strong hands-on grasp of Excel, with a particular focus on cash flow modelling, risk analysis, data screening and analysis and creative problem solving.
