Senior Technical Project Manager - Red Hat Consulting Services (France)

<h2>About the job</h2> <p>The Red Hat Consulting team is looking for a Senior Technical Project Manager to join us in Puteaux, France. In this role, you will manage services projects in the region from initiation through delivery to its closure. You'll coordinate cross-functional teams and establish appropriate metrics for measuring key project criteria, as well as determine, monitor, and review all project economics including costs, operational budgets, staffing requirements, resources, and risk. While effectively managing a project, you will also be responsible for helping instill an organizational project management discipline and serve as an ambassador for the adoption of project management fundamentals, principles, and methodologies with Red Hat’s services.</p> <h2>What you will do</h2> <ul> <li>Guide project planning, scheduling, monitoring, and reporting activities for Red Hat’s services projects with supervision</li> <li>Handle project requirements, scope, and change management issues; ensure adherence to legally binding requirements</li> <li>Facilitate the development of recommended project control solutions for planning, scheduling, and tracking projects through an integration of various project management tools</li> <li>Work with the management on project proposals, bids, contracts, estimates, and schedules; contribute to the project estimation process</li> <li>Staff projects with the relevant consultants and architects, taking into consideration the required skills and levels of experience</li> <li>Establish appropriate metrics for measuring key project criteria; develop project control and reporting procedures and manage changes in operational plans</li> <li>Participate in status review meetings with project team members and customers</li> <li>Ensure timely submission of weekly timesheets and timecards</li> <li>Integrate and use specific industry and technical delivery methodologies like project management methodologies based on Project Management Institute (PMI), Red Hat’s services project management methodology, systems and software development, and product development</li> <li>Assist in training the project team on the application of appropriate procedures and processes; coach and advise the team associates on how to accomplish project goals, meet established schedules, and resolve technical or operational issues</li> </ul> <h2>What you will bring</h2> <ul> <li>Solid experience in technical project management (from software development or infrastructure environment)</li> <li>Proven track record of successful management of highly complex projects and multicultural or multidisciplinary teams</li> <li>High level of familiarity with cloud technologies, automation, and open source</li> <li>Experience establishing and contributing to process improvements</li> <li>Excellent written and verbal communication skills, as well as interpersonal, leadership, and analytical skills and business judgment</li> <li>Ability to work effectively across a diverse management team and a broad spectrum of internal partners on your own</li> <li>Experience with delivering projects according to Agile methodology</li> <li>Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high attention to detail</li> <li>Good balance of business and technical experience</li> <li>PMI and Project Management Professional (PMP) certifications or equivalent is a plus</li> <li>Willingness to travel 25-50%</li> <li>Fluent French and English language skills</li> <li>Eligibility to work in France </li> </ul>
