Kitchen Support

This is a part-time role at the Clayton Lodge (5000 Clayton Road, Marville). The Lodge is a private corporate event center located on the Clayton Campus. Pay for this position starts at $16 per hour + based on experience.

SUMMARY:

The Kitchen Support role contributes to the overall daily kitchen operations. This role is a vital part of the kitchen team. They will play a key part in stewarding, stocking and organization to ensure efficiency. In addition to daily responsibilities there are opportunities to learn cooking preparation methods while working alongside our skilled team of chefs. This position has the potential for upward growth through the kitchen.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Responsible for ware-washing, assist with kitchen production and meals. Ensures all wares are polished and stored to meet our high standards. 
• Consolidation and rotation of prepared food items daily
• Performs stewarding tasks such as receiving, stocking, and tracking inventory to meet established food safety standards
• Roll silverware, fold napkins, bus tables
• Ensures daily and weekly cleaning schedules are met
• Monitor and report equipment maintenance issues
• Assist Chefs with food prep tasks as assigned
• Setup buffets, beverage service and snack stations, restocking and refreshing stations as needed
• Other duties as assigned

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• 1 year of professional food service operation experience
• Works well in a fast-paced environment
• Detail oriented
• High energy, positive attitude
• General knowledge of kitchen operations and equipment

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

• High school diploma or equivalent required
