Business Analyst

About the Role:We are seeking an experienced IT Business Analyst to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in business analysis, with expertise in IT systems and technologies. Experience in the healthcare industry, particularly with HIPAA, HL7, and FHIR standards, is highly desirable. This position is 100% remote, but candidates should be located in the local area.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Proven experience as an IT Business Analyst, with a strong understanding of business analysis methodologies and best practices.
• Experience in gathering and documenting business requirements, conducting process analysis, and developing technical specifications for IT projects.
• Familiarity with healthcare industry standards and regulations, such as HIPAA, HL7, and FHIR, is highly desirable.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills, with the ability to analyze complex data and information.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams, stakeholders, and clients.
• Knowledge of software development methodologies, such as Agile, Scrum, or Waterfall, and experience working with development teams.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities, adapt to changing requirements, and work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to deliver high-quality work.
• Professional certifications in business analysis, such as CBAP or CCBA, are a plus.
• Proactive, self-starter, and capable of working independently without constant oversight.

Duties

• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and document business requirements for IT projects, including system functionality, data integration, and process improvement.
• Review, understand, and analyze FHIR standards to frame requirements accordingly.
• Conduct detailed analysis of business processes, systems, and data to identify adherence to standards and areas for efficiency improvement.
• Develop and document detailed technical specifications, system workflows, and other relevant artifacts to guide software development teams in building IT solutions.
• Participate in the design, development, and implementation of IT solutions, including interfaces, APIs, and other integrations.
• Collaborate with development, testing, QA, and project management teams to ensure successful delivery.
• Provide end-user training documentation for applications and support end-users as needed.
• Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, security standards, and data privacy requirements, such as HIPAA.
• Participate in quality assurance and testing activities to validate system functionality, performance, and quality.
• Develop and maintain relationships with stakeholders to understand their business needs.
