IonQ is developing the world's most powerful full-stack quantum computer based on trapped-ion technology. As the Senior Director of Integration, you will report to the VP of Integration and  Transformation and partner to lead IonQ’s cross-functional Integration Management Office  (IMO) from pre-close diligence across post-close execution. You will lead a team of analysts  and program managers and will translate deal theses into an integration plan, ensure Day 1  readiness, orchestrate integration workstreams, ensure synergy capture, and mitigate  integration risk. This is a high-impact role at the center of our inorganic growth strategy— partnering with Finance, Engineering & Technology (E&T), Product/Applications, Go-to-Market  (GTM), Marketing, Legal, HR, and IT to deliver enterprise value.

In this role, you will own the integration playbook, drive governance, align functional leaders on  new operating models, and manage interdependencies that span the enterprise. Success will entail a smooth Day 1 launch for new acquisitions, disciplined delivery against integration milestones, and measurable value realization. You will report to the VP of Integration and  Transformation.  

Responsibilities: 

  • Create the integration vision and strategy for each unique acquisition and execute upon  that vision and strategy. 
  • Own and expand the integration playbook, its governance, and reporting—from pre close diligence to Day 1 and post-close value realization 
  • Build and own the master integration plan, inclusive of: Day 1 cutover lists, comms  plans, and long-term integration activities 
  • Own the integration budget 
  • Orchestrate integration workstreams and resolve interdependencies across functions
  • Drive synergy capture plans with Finance and workstream leads, and escalate variances
  • Stand up and lead secure clean rooms (as needed) and manage information barriers
  • Partner with functional leaders on org design, talent retention, and internal comms
  • Provide updates for executives/board members (progress, risks, etc.).  


You’d be a good fit with: 

  • 15+ years in M&A integration or enterprise transformation (management consulting, or hardware/industrial/defense industries). 
  • Demonstrated success leading complex integrations end-to-end. 
  • BA/BS required (engineering, business, or related). 
  • Expertise in cross-functional program leadership.  


You’d be a great fit with: 

  • MBA or similar equivalent experience
  • Prior IMO build-out experience 
  • Prior product management experience 
  • Experience in integrating hardware or nascent technology businesses in a matrix organization. 
  • Strong executive communication; board-level materials; change management expertise
  • Ability to influence above and across the enterprise 


Location:
This position can work onsite or hybrid from one of our offices (College Park, MD, Bothell, WA) or fully remote in the US.

The approximate base salary range for this position is $250,825 - $327,083. The total compensation package includes base, bonus, and equity.

Compensation will vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Posted base salary figures are subject to change as new market data becomes available. Beyond base salary, total compensation includes a variable bonus and equity component and a range of benefit options found on our career site at ionq.co/jobs.  Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided when a candidate receives an offer of employment.
