Expanded Learning Program Instructor (Caliber Changemakers)

We are seeking a committed and passionate expanded learning instructor for Mondays and Wednesdays as a 1st grade instructor and for Thursdays and Fridays to change the future of 7th-8th grade students by leading academic, physical, and enrichment activities as part of our team at Caliber Changemakers in Vallejo, Ca. As a Program Instructor, you will lead and mentor up to 20 youth in an expanded learning setting. Benefits

• Pay rate: $20 an hour
• Off during school holidays & weekends
• Sick time accrual
• Hours a week: 16+ hours, plus PD *Hours are Monday, Wednesday & Thursday 2:30pm-6pm and Friday 12pm-6pm* (with availability to be flexible as we often have a week of minimum days)

Minimum Requirements

• No experience required

• Ability to reliably commute to Vallejo
• Ability to pass criminal background check and TB test clearance

• Commitment to education equity and leadership

• Ability to work in a collaborative team environment

Responsibilities

• Support and maintain the emotional well-being of the students.

• Provide a safe environment

• Be a positive role model for struggling students

• Have fun engaging students in lesson plans that support school-day learning

• Run community circles based on restorative practices

• Ability to collaborate with youth to support their learning and development (youth-driven curriculum)
