The Fitness+ Studio is a high volume, state-of-the-art 4K UHD multi-camera production and post production facility responsible for creating this bespoke content. Fitness+ is seeking an Assistant Video Editor who will support the creative, production, and post teams. This position will work closely with other Editors, Post Producer, Archivist, and may take creative direction from the Lead Editor, Creative Director, and Producers.

Key Qualifications

• Minimum 3+ years of creative or mastering editorial work in a post production facility delivering daily technically accurate content with creative revisions maintained
• Proven understanding of non-linear editorial software; knowledge of Final Cut Pro preferred
• Understanding of editorial post production workflows, file formats, frame rates, codecs, resolution, and audio for asset delivery
• Knowledge of review and approval process using software such as frame.io
• Understanding of technical delivery process for turn-overs for audio mix and final export
• Attention to detail with well-honed organizational and time-management skills; self-motivated and comfortable working in a high-demand, fast paced environment.
• Ability to build and maintain positive and professional business relationships with both internal associates and external customers or vendors
• Strong understanding of Apple macOS operating systems

Description

Daily tasks include crafting music playlists for production playback; importing and preparing multi-camera creative editorial in Final Cut Pro; pulling clips for marketing and social media; preparing video outputs for approval; preparing elements for audio mix, layback, and delivery; and consolidating files for archive. You may be required to ingest footage and prepare multi-camera groups from multiple sources, cut selects reels from dailies, or perform other pre-processing prior to editorial. You will work closely with the Engineering team to test, diagnose and tackle pipeline, workflow, and other technical issues. You may be required to edit preview clips as business needs emerge. Fitness+ a fast-paced environment with a high-functioning team. Candidates should be highly organized, adaptable, and have excellent communication skills. Evening and weekend work may be required according to business needs. This position is part of the post production team and is located at the Fitness+ Production Studio.

Education & Experience

Bachelors degree, creative certificate, or equivalent experience preferred

Additional Requirements

• Experience in on-set editing and dailies conform preferred
• Experience in Home, Social, and Localization editing and editorial standards preferred
• Intellectual curiosity about/experience with improving high volume workflows/pipelines preferred
• Experience with fiber channel and Network-attached storage preferred
• Mac and PC workstation problem solving and administration preferred
• Experience with content security protocols preferred
• This is a site based role.

Pay & Benefits

• At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $56.21 and $84.67/hr, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
