About the role
The role of the Senior Product Analyst is to provide support to ensure the growth and profitability of the Chubb’s Homeowners and Auto lines of business. The role will assist the Home Office product team by supporting enhancements that improve the product using contract language, underwriting guidelines, system enhancements, pricing/predictive analytics and CAT models.
Primary Job Responsibilities:
- Support the development and rollout of Countrywide Pricing Plans such as by-peril rating.
- Assist in the development of future rating and underwriting enhancements.
- Assist in the monitoring and development of countrywide guidelines to ensure profitability.
- Utilize market research on competitors (including, rate plans, coverage and forms, and guidelines…) in the High Net Worth, Mass Affluent, Mass Market and Insurtech space to recommend changes to the Homeowners and Auto products.
- Utilize strong oral and written communication skills to effectively convey reports and analysis results in an easily understandable manner.
- Exhibit organizational skills to effectively manage competing priorities.
- Establish effective working relationships with Underwriting, Actuarial, Regional Product Management, CAT Management, Product Develop, Product Support, Product Services and Project Management.
- Prepare information needed to review post implementation results of countrywide initiatives.
- Communicate strategic recommendations to senior management.
- Independently manage moderate complexity projects; understand business objectives as they relate to project goals.
Qualifications:
- Understanding of the rate filing process and the creation of filing support.
- Understanding of by-peril rating plans, wildfire risk scores, and roof condition scores.
- Advanced analytical and problem solving skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively as a team member as well as independently.
- Organized with excellent time management skills and an ability to synthesize information.
- Proficient with all Microsoft Office Products (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, etc.).
Education and Experience:
- Bachelors degree or equivalent business experience in math, economics, finance, actuarial, or statistics emphasis.
- Minimum of 4 years of Personal Lines experience with a background as a Product Analyst, Actuary, Underwriter, or similar role.
- Prior experience working with Auto, Homeowners, Condo, Renters/Tenant, Landlord or Flood products.
