Job Description
As a Senior QA Engineer at Publicis Sapient, you will be responsible for designing automated tests to validate custom software system products and services. Experienced in reviewing requirements, creating test plans, detailed test cases, test reports, and producing quality assurance metrics. Other responsibilities include working closely with software and systems engineers in debugging and defining corrective actions. Able to work under tight deadlines and capable of effectively handling multiple projects at same time.
Responsibilities:
Design, configure , and maintain test automation framework based on open-source tools like Selenium, Java, Cucumber
Design, develop, and maintain automation test scripts using Java, Selenium, Cucumber (Gherkin), and Rest Assured
Use Jenkins (CI/CD) to automatically schedule a test build or manually trigger a remote test script execution
Debug and report test script errors and failures
Perform manual/automated smoke and regression testing
Capture screenshots or screen recordings
Coordinate regression test automation activities across all supported applications
Ensure that all automation tests are reliable, maintainable and scalable.
Ability to execute test cases manually based on business requirements
Prepare test plan and test case documents and write test procedures
Work with requirements team to define test scenarios and maintain traceability
Provide detailed and accurate test results and bug reports
Report defects and escalate issues as needed
Work closely with software development team to reproduce and debug issues.
Collaborate with the development team to understand the requirements and design automated test cases
Demonstrate ownership and accountability through self-directed task management
Motivated team player, with very strong analytical, diagnostic, and debugging skills
Estimate tasks and present plans to project leadership
Strong verbal communication and writing skills
Qualifications
4+ years of software development testing experience
4+ years of Agile testing experience
4+ years of strong experience with Selenium-WebDriver
4+ years of experience with automation framework (e.g. Cucumber, TestNG, JUnit).
4+ years of experience with working knowledge of Java is required.
Hands-on experience within Build Management tools (e.g. Maven, Gradle, Ant).
Working knowledge with CI/CD environment (e.g. Jenkins, Bamboo) is a plus.
Hands-on experience developing automation test script using Gherkin and Java
Familiar with Test-Driven Development (TDD) and Behavior-Driven Development (BDD) practices
Able to develop alternative solutions that demonstrate innovative and analytical approaches to resolutions.
Strong debugging and problem-solving skills
Experience with manual testing (Smoke and Regression, Integration, Functional, etc.)
Understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and experience working in agile / iterative SDLC environments
Ability to excel in team-oriented environment.
Able to work independently and in a fast-paced environment
Adheres to development standards, software development lifecycle processes
Must be a self-starter that identifies performance gaps and addresses them
Must be an effective writer with experience writing test plans and test cases.
Must be able to identify gaps or conflicts in the requirements and user stories
Detail oriented and “can-do” abilities
Bachelor’s Degree required
Knowledge of security testing against Cross-Site Scripting using Burp tool is a plus
US citizenship or permanent residency and the ability to obtain a Public T
