SUMMARY
The Warehouse Associate II assists in the timely packaging, shipping and distribution of materials based on the established processes and procedures of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). This position requires the ability to maintain a minimum of 99.9% accuracy.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Essential duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Promotes and encourages a culture of compliance with all applicable rules (federal, state, local, Federal Acquisition Regulations, Code of Federal Regulations, Prime Contract requirements, etc.) for themselves and the company as a whole. Fosters an environment in which they will report any violations or reasonably suspected violation of CNI policy, FAR, and/or CFR and are comfortable discussing the myriad compliance, conflict, FAR, CFR, etc. issues that arise during the performance of a government contract.
Assembles cartons. Obtains and sorts product.
Performs pick and pack of customer orders. Applies protective material around product.
Operates motorized equipment to stock or pick materials from inventory. Attend training and obtain/maintain certification for operating this equipment, including forklift and reach truck.
Inserts product into container. Weighs product and adjusts quantity.
Appropriately seals containers. Labels packages appropriately.
Sorts bundles or fills containers.
Inspects materials, products and containers at each step of packaging process.
Records information such as weight, time and date packaged.
Responsible for aiding in own self-development by being available and receptive to all training made available by the company.
Plans daily activities within the guidelines of company policy, job description and supervisor’s instruction in such a way as to maximize personal output.
Responsible for keeping own immediate work area in a neat and orderly condition to ensure safety of self and coworkers. Will report any unsafe conditions and/or practices to the appropriate supervisor and human resources. Will immediately correct any unsafe conditions to the best of own ability.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
High School diploma or General Education Degree (GED). Must have a minimum of five (5) years’ relevant experience with satisfactory performance in all areas of work including but not limited to teamwork, quality of work, quantity of work, attendance and safety.
JOB SPECIFIC KNOWLEDGE / SKILLS / ABILITIES
Knowledge and understanding of warehousing operations with ability to follow established processes and procedures.
Ability to maintain a minimum of 99.9% accuracy.
Good organization and time-management skills with ability to be reliable in attendance / punctuality.
Ability to practice and promote required safety standards.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients and other employees of the organization.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's. Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume and distance.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
