Job Overview

 

TE Connectivity’s IT Software and Systems Administration Teams support mainframe, Unix, Linux, and Windows based servers. This includes installation, configuration, ongoing maintenance and backup/recovery of physical and virtual servers. They monitor servers for performance and availability, and works with customers and vendors to troubleshoot hardware and software issues. TE’s IT Software and Systems Administration Teams analyze application requirements and recommend appropriate hardware configuration to meet requirements, install, configure, upgrade, monitor, troubleshoot technical systems software such as middleware, portal, e-mail, collaboration, unified communications, systems monitoring, trouble ticketing, software distribution, etc. They also evaluate new products, upgrade features and recommend toolset selection.

Roles & Responsibilities

 

Analyst IT Systems & SW Admin plays a crucial role in managing and maintaining email systems. Responsible for management of a blended on-prem/online Exchange platform containing ~8 servers and an O365 environment for ~50K users located in EMEA, Americas and APAC.
Responsible for innovation and automation in the Exchange/Office 365 area and admin tools. The ideal candidate will be a good team player with prior experience in a similar role. The candidate will work in a rotational shift 24/5 with occasional weekend support. 

  • Must be able to provide complete administration of the Microsoft Exchange 2016/2019 environment and its capabilities.
  • Troubleshooting inbound and outbound queues, mail routing issues, server errors, mail delivery latency issues, analysis of NDR
  • Migration knowledge of an on-premises Exchange environment to Office 365
  • Good Understanding in Exchange Online Protection (EOP)
  • Good Knowledge on Exchange and Office 365 PowerShell scripts.
  • Deep experience with Azure AD Group, O365 license management and O365 Groups
  • Experience with supporting anti-spam filtering, logging and email tracking and transport rules.
  • Perform scripting administration tasks and reporting using PowerShell.
  • Develop scripts for automating processes within the environment.
  • Help ensure team performance meets or exceeds defined Service Level Agreements.
  • Monitors the health of messaging systems with provided event management tools.
  • Implements monitoring tools thresholds and conducts proactive event remediation.
  • Participate and own Exchange/O365 platform incidents in SNOW from onset to resolution including P1/P2 and RCA/CAP 
  • Provide technical training and mentoring to other professional employees including but not limited to Knowledge Base articles and other user facing collateral and Service Desk
  • Participate in second level Collaboration support, including occasional weekend, evening, and overtime activities.
  • Experience in exporting mailbox content through Content search.
  • Experience in data life cycle management.

Competencies And Experience Required/Desired

 

  • Expereince in Exchange server 2016/2019, Exchange online, Microsoft Entra, PowerShell (scripting)
  • PowerBi administration, PowerApps administration. SharePoint Online, OneDrive and Microsoft Teams
  • Proven 5+ years of working experience as an Exchange Administrator
  • Excellent written and verbal English communication skills
  • Solid organizational skills including attention to detail and multi-tasking skills.
  • Relevant IT certifications (ITIL, PMP, MCTS and MCITP for Exchange/O365 configurations) a plus
  • Strong Collaboration Skills,Self-motivated, Passionate, Positive mindset and Problem-solving skills
  • Good interpersonal skills; effective team player
  • Experience using ServiceNow is a plus.
