The Product Development team is dedicated to reimagining how software products are built at AT&T—enabling us to move fast, adopt new technologies, and deliver solutions that directly impact the company and the industry. As part of our team, you’ll take on ambitious work, learn new technologies, and deliver solutions that scale to AT&T’s infrastructure.
As a Director of Technology, you’ll lead one or more technical organizations (typically 6+ direct reports and a total org size of 50+), growing teams to deliver ambitious, high-impact solutions. You’ll shape strategy, drive rapid innovation, and empower teams to deliver at scale.

Key Roles and Responsibilities:
Set a compelling technology vision and translate big ideas—including AI-driven strategies—into actionable plans that elevate AT&T’s technology landscape.
Foster a culture of creativity, collaboration, and continuous learning—encouraging teams to challenge convention, experiment boldly, and pursue excellence.
Champion modern engineering practices and drive the adoption of cutting-edge tools, frameworks, and delivery models to accelerate innovation.
Guide teams in integrating AI-powered features, leveraging pre-trained models, optimizing data pipelines, and applying best practices to drive automation and rapid development.
Collaborate across business, engineering, and executive teams to identify opportunities, remove barriers, and deliver technology-driven business transformation.
Oversee organizational planning, resource allocation, budgeting, and governance to ensure operational excellence and sustainable growth—including talent development, performance management, and capital/resource planning.
Step into the details when support is needed, participate in detailed technical conversations to support the right technical solution what unblocks your team.

Education (Preferred):
MS degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field.
Experience:
Requires at least ten years' experience and supervisory experience.
