Our Burnsville facility supplies products for both air and space craft. We have a rare opportunity for an experienced machinist to join our Burnsville team. You will work in a state-of-the-art climate-controlled shop creating both routine and custom pieces. You will enjoy both autonomy and support and have the opportunity to apply your problem-solving skills. WHAT YOU WILL DO:
Production Machining of routine and custom products using manual mills and lathes.
Read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals to perform set ups and production processes.
Calibrate machines to perform operations within its capability by positioning, aligning, securing work, utilizing and adapting appropriate tools.
Use analytical skills to formulate machine adjustments and perform the machining process.
Collaborating with engineering teams to optimize production processes and resolve and develop unique solutions.
Utilize of inspection equipment including indicators, micrometers, calipers, and surface plates.
Inspect and certify your work product.
Work independently using all resources available to troubleshoot and resolve problems.
Perform daily, quarterly, annual Preventative Maintenance on equipment.
Effectively work in an environment requiring both repetitive and unique products.
Maintain focus on safety and quality.
Build manufacturing fixtures.
QUALIFICATIONS YOU MUST HAVE:
Typically requires HS diploma (or equivalent, e.g. G.E.D. in the US) or vocational/technical education in related discipline with a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience.
2+ years of manual Mill/Lathe experience.
