Sr 3D Generalist

Capgemini Government Solutions (CGS) LLC is seeking highly motivated and experienced Sr 3D Generalist to join our team to support our government clients. The successful applicant will work closely to help build characters, environments, and assets for multi-platform (PC, XR, Web, and Mobile) industrial digital twin applications, interactive 3D training, and real world simulations using Unity.

Job Responsibilities

 

As a Sr 3D Generalist, you will:

• Collaborate and support 3D, visual and interaction designers to help illustrate scenarios that communicate design concepts to team members and customers
• Help translate concept art into immersive 3D experiences
• Help to establish and build an efficient production pipeline
• Utilize conceptual thinking skills in collaboration with designers from all disciplines to create innovative multi platform real-time 3D  user experiences
• Responsible for outlining asset authoring guidelines, process and pipeline as needed.
• Illustrate amazing high resolution 2D images to be used in a real-time game engine
• Model and texture 3D objects for use in a real-time game engine.
• Set up scenes, cameras, textured surfaces, animations, and particles in a real-time game engine
• Participates in the design, development, testing and troubleshooting of new 3D models and environments

 

Required Qualifications:

• U.S. Citizenship is required.
• Eligible to obtain and maintain Government Security Clearance.
• 5+ years of work experience as a 3D development artist in Unity (or other game engine)
• Scripting experience in JavaScript, Python, or C#
• Proficient with at least one major DCC authoring package like 3DS Max, Blender, or Maya
• Solid knowledge of PBR material authoring tools
• Experience with polygonal retopology, optimization, and LOD creation
• Experience with asset pipeline, integrating 3D models, textures etc. into Unity 3D
• Experience in Web, iOS, Android, PC, and/ or VR development.
• Proven knowledge of modern optimization techniques for asset creation, texturing and material construction, and scene assembly.
• Experience communicating in a multi-disciplinary team, including engineers, artists, and designers.
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple milestones and projects efficiently.

 

Desired Qualifications:

• Strong communication and team building skills.
• Bachelor's degree in an area such as graphic design, animation, fine arts or a related field
• Experience in Architecture/Industrial Design or Interactive Training
• Thoughtful yet unrelenting at optimizing scenes and materials for VR and mobile performance requirements
• Experience generating 3D terrain from Geospatial imagery
• Experience in a wide range of artistic styles, with an emphasis on realistic art.
• Experience as an artist in charge of significant aspects of visual development.
• Solid knowledge of scene lighting, light’s reaction to various surfaces and scene composition.
