OnsiteAre you ready to push the boundaries of avionics engineering? Join our Computing Products Department (CPD) at Collins Aerospace as an Electrical Engineer II, where you will be part of a team responsible for the development and sustainment of cutting-edge avionics products. This includes high performance and high assurance processing platforms, video and graphics processing modules, high-bandwidth networking solutions, and control panels used in various aircraft platforms for military and commercial markets.

What YOU will do:
- You will engage in the development of digital hardware used in high-performance computing products such as Mission Computers and aircraft Displays.
- You will apply electrical engineering principles and techniques to design, develop, document, verify, support, and troubleshoot digital hardware for avionics products.
- You will collaborate closely with Systems, Software, Mechanical, and Environmental Effects Engineering roles, as well as Manufacturing Operations and Design-to-Cost staff to ensure requirements are met across all phases of a product's lifecycle.
- You will be involved in all phases of the hardware development lifecycle, including requirements capture, design, integration, verification, production transition, product sustainment, and customer interface.

Qualifications You Must Have:
- Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) unless prohibited by local laws/regulations and minimum 2 years of prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field or in absence of a degree, 6 years of relevant experience
- U.S. citizenship is mandatory, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.
Qualifications We Prefer:
- FPGA development experience.
- Experience with Ethernet, I2C, USB, LVDS, and SERDES bus technologies.
- Testing experience in DO-160, MIL-STD-810, MIL-STD-461.
- Design tools experience for signal integrity and timing analysis.
- Understanding of Design to Cost (DTC+), Design for Manufacturing (DFM), Design for Test (DFT).
- Requirements capture, tracing, and testability.
