Responsibilities
Job Summary:
Come help drive, shape, and integrate counterintelligence (CI) analytical efforts to proactively protect critical research and development projects supporting US national security at Draper. Draper’s Threat Management (TM) program preemptively identifies threats, internal and external risks, and develops countermeasures to manage these challenges.
The Senior CI Analyst will create TM’s analytical capacity, help form analytical strategies, and provide the analytical backbone in building and proactively identifying these threats and trends. The successful candidate will serve as TM’s analytical lead to review, analyze, and provide recommendations to improve the effectiveness of Draper’s CI, Insider Threat (InT), and Security Investigative programs.
The Senior CI Analyst will collaborate across Draper’s functions and programs, with multiple sponsors, and external CI/intelligence analytical organizations to accurately assess threats, risks, and vulnerabilities to inform Draper leadership and to protect relevant personnel and technologies.
While hybrid/remote work will be available, the role can be most effectively performed with ability to travel to sponsor and government sites regularly and with ability to respond in person, when incidents from time to time make personal interaction necessary. Location preference is near our Reston, VA office, in the National Capital regional, with other Draper locations a possibility.
Responsibilities
- Increase understanding of- and responsiveness to- current threats, providing open-source, unclassified, and classified products and insight relevant to TM, Security, and Draper overall.
- Develop the analytical capacity for TM’s CI, InT, and Security Investigative actions, to enhance TM activities, identity risk trends, and assist in strategic threat mitigation.
- Provide and/or organize tailored analytical briefings to Draper leaders on relevant threats and CI, InT, and investigative issues, in coordinate with government sponsors and/or partners.
- Assist TM members and coordinate with various external partners in reviewing and analyzing threat intelligence, to include a focus on Cyber CI reporting.
- Organize and manage TM’s threat information on unclassified and classified systems.
- Assist TM in the development of threat and/or vulnerability assessments, tailored to protect Draper employees, technologies, and programs.
- Provide relevant case studies, analytical input into TM awareness, education, briefs to employees, and leadership.
- Develop external analytical partnerships across Draper and with sponsor, and government CI units to enhance TM’s ability to assess risks in supply chain, foreign travel, and foreign contacts.
