What are we looking for?

BetterSleep is looking for a Lead Product Designer who is passionate about creating seamless user experiences applying intuition and inspiration from insights and data. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, collaborative, and an effective communicator. In this role, you will lead a team of 2 product designers while remaining very hands-on.

Responsibilities

Lead product design vision for BetterSleep alongside the product and engineering teams and advocate for the users;
Develop and design high-quality user experience and user interface strategies to deliver a consistent user experience for the customer across their entire interactions with the product
Collaborate with Engineers, Product Managers and other Designers in our efforts to create a great product and solve technical constraints, not only for our customers but for our business to effectively scale to the next level
Lead a team composed of 2 Product Designers - responsible for daily and weekly check-ins, goals, trainings, performance evaluation, career growth and hirings, mentoring and coaching;
Leverage internal data and utilize your knowledge of human behavior and interaction to identify potential opportunities
Actively participates in agile processes and ceremonies;
Make recommendations to management on processes and tools improvement;
Ensure compliance with Android and Apple guidelines, keep up to date and inform the team of new developments;
Nurture relationships with stakeholders. Effectively communicate complex ideas, goals and problems;
Mentor and guide the other designers;
Actively participate in recruitment.

Profile

You have a relevant degree in design;
You have at least 8 years of experience in Product Design on mobile apps;
You have experience acting as lead designer - mentoring and managing others;
You are passionate about designing best in class mobile experience and ability to balance business, product, and user needs.;
Extreme attention to detail and desire to understand all aspects of our product;
A portfolio of UI & UX projects that include user research, ideation, launch, iteration, and results. Please provide a link.
Experience with design tools to effectively communicate UI & UX solutions (Sketch, Figma, Adobe CC).
Strong experience in A/B testing and ability to make improvements based on quantitative results and qualitative feedback.
Ability to prioritize based on user impact and development effort.
You are bilingual.
