Raytheon Logistics has a need for a Principal Specialist Logistics. The individual in this role will assist the Supervisor of this team of people in a fast-paced dynamic environment to maintain and meet organization goals and objectives.
In addition to the above, responsibilities include assisting in workforce planning and forecasting, employee hiring and training, time and attendance tracking, area layout and flow management, this individual will also be responsible for a safe work environment and will actively lead and engage in safety improvement discussions.
This individual should obtain APICS certification within 1 year of employment
What You Will Do
- Execution of schedule and cost.
- Measure and maintain key performance metrics.
- Maintaining audit readiness.
- Assist in managing warehouse workflow; monitor and resolve aging work.
- Coordinate with and monitor other warehouse areas including RMD sites and 3PL providers.
- Work with other logistics departments to share resources and cross train workforce.
- Capital identification and control of overhead expenses.
- Ensuring the enforcement of company policies and procedures.
- Utilizing business systems and tools that aid in managing labor, processes, and budgets.
Qualifications You Must Have
- Typically requires university degree or equivalent experience and 5 years of prior relevant experience or an advanced degree and 3 years or prior relevant experience.
- The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
Qualifications We Prefer
- Experience utilizing lean manufacturing concepts with lean / six sigma implementation projects.
- Previous experience supervising and interfacing bargaining unit employees in the aerospace/defense industry.
- Excellent communication (written and verbal)
- Customer focused and Metrics driven and success oriented.
- Experience working with Microsoft Office Tools (Excel, PowerPoint, Project, and Access)
