About the role

Overview

The Specialty Program Manager is responsible for creating a superior customer experience for our manufacturer and payer partners in specialty pharmacy. The specialty program manager directly oversees assigned programs in order to manage the quality and execution of Manufacturer/Payer programs at Maxor Specialty Pharmacy in a comprehensive, collaborative manner; is accountable for all activities of the assigned programs. Responsible for communicating and escalating any program needs and status to the Director of Specialty Programs.

 

Position Location

This is a remote-based position within the Continental US.

Responsibilities

  • Lead engagements with our manufacturer and payer partners.
  • Maintain comprehensive knowledge of specialty pharmacy’s capabilities to develop and maintain meaningful relationships with all stakeholders.
  • Maintain oversight of programs’ performance.
  • Ensure comprehensive and proactive program communication channels are established.
  • Collaborate with specialty pharmacy teams to implement and monitor performance for custom workflow and contract requirements.
  • Develop and implement strategies and solutions to optimize program performance and client satisfaction.
  • Ensure tools and resources are available to evaluate program data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
  • Prepares and presents comprehensive reports and recommendations to our partners and leadership.
  • Establishes and ensures KPIs are monitored, and corrective action taken to prevent subpar program performance and escalations.
  • Collaborates with cross-functional teams, including pharmacy operations, clinical, IT/Analytics, and finance, to achieve program goals and objectives.
  • Stays informed of industry trends, regulations, and best practices related to specialty pharmacy, and proactively incorporates this knowledge into program development and management.
  • Represents the organization at conferences, meetings, and other events to promote our specialty pharmacy programs and cultivate relationships with key partners and stakeholders.
  • Responsible for development, implementation, and quality assessment of new pharmacy policies and procedures related to programs in collaboration with the senior pharmacy leadership.
  • Assists in planning, monitoring and/or managing budget in functional area of department.
  • Promptly report any allegations of impropriety to the Compliance Department.
  • Comply with Maxor’s Ethical Business Conduct policy and Maxor’s Compliance Program.
  • Remain free from exclusion under the OIG and SAMS Medicare/Medicaid lists.
  • Complete required training, as assigned, within the established timeframes.
  • Must be able to cope with the mental and emotional stress of the position.
  • Maintain regular attendance in accordance with established policies.
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
