The Office of Administrative Hearings is responsible for conducting administrative hearings for most state agencies in the State of Oregon. Our mission is to serve the public by providing fair, accessible and efficient contested case services in a neutral forum. Every day, our staff of dedicated professionals provides hearing services for Oregonians throughout the state regarding issues that affect their daily lives, their businesses, and their professions. WHAT YOU WILL DO:
Conduct timely, fair, and impartial contested case hearings. Individuals in this position work under minimal supervision with considerable latitude for initiative and independent judgment. Individuals in this position preside over hearings, ensuring that a complete record is developed, and write orders accurately deciding all factual and legal issues.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:
Three years’ experience conducting contested case hearings; OR
Graduation from an accredited law school with a LL.B. or J.D. degree.
Experience preparing and/or presenting cases before an administrative hearing or preparing written administrative decisions based on laws and regulations may be substituted for one year of the conducting contested case hearings experience.

Ability to work with minimal supervision, exercise sound judgment, and consistently produce high-quality work on time while tracking multiple, short deadlines and a heavy workload.
